National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS unit of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira officially began its activities in June 1970, though the college has inspired students to serve others following the Mission's ideals since its inception. Notable activities include building environmental awareness, promoting cleanliness, running literacy centres for the illiterate, organizing free coaching for underprivileged students, participating in relief work, among others.

With the establishment of the Bose House Campus, the service activities of the NSS have expanded, involving trainees, instructors, educators, and local volunteers. Of late, this campus has organized numerous awareness programmes, self-reliance-oriented training programmes, health and youth camps, relief efforts, for the local underprivileged communities. The campus has also successfully organized value education sessions for students and faculty members.
